Up for sale is a
magnificent original & signed Fred Leighton Rubelite and diamond 18K
white gold necklace.
This beautiful piece is in
a new condition, it still has the original Fred Leighton tag on with
with all of the information.
It has the classic Fred
Leighton decorations and it is both signed and hallmarked.
The center stone of this
piece is a beautiful hot pinkish purple natural Rubelite tourmaline
weighing 2.50 carats measuring approximately 7mm from side to side. It
stone is very hard to take pictures of, so just be sure that it looks
better then the pictures. This Tourmaline is a square cushion cut with
checkers style faceting on the back of it to give it extra life.
Around the center stone
there are 0.25 carats of round diamonds. These diamonds are all
ideal/perfect cut diamonds (Fred Leighton mostly used top quality
diamonds in his pieces). These diamonds are all F to G color and VS to
VVS clarity, these days such diamonds have more then doubled in price
because of the cost of producing such fine calibrated cut diamonds.
The whole piece is 18K
solid white gold, the chain measures approximately 16.5 inches (42cm)
long and the center measures 1.2cm from side to side.
The tag on the piece
indicated that this piece was on sale at Fred Leighton for $3,900.00.
